Mercator engines

Mercator has been programmed so that the interface is separated from the software “engines”. This allows you, as a developer, to use the functions of the Mercator engines.

Mercator is composed of 5 main engines:

In commercial management (module ENGG):

  • The BillingEngine: for all commercial management documents
  • The TransferEngine: for everything related to warehouse transfers
  • The InventoryEngine: for everything related to inventories

In accounting (module ENGB): the BookingEngine

In CRM (module ENGA): the ActionEngine

When you have the option — that is, the module corresponding to these engines — you gain access to the engine methods (functions) and can develop your own custom applications.

Mercator engines

Your code inside Mercator

You can write custom code or a tailored program directly inside Mercator, using the functions of the engine.

Your code outside Mercator

You can write code for an external application outside Mercator that still uses its engines. This is, for example, the case when you develop an ASP.net application linked to Mercator.
